Together
Clay Uga
Uga is made of soft clay. Now yours can be too.
Clay does what your hands ask, but not straight away. Squeezing, rolling and starting again is a quiet way of learning that things take the time they take.
Step by step
-
Warm the clay
Squeeze it in your hands until it goes soft. This part is the best.
-
Roll the head
Make a ball a bit bigger than a walnut.
-
Add the hair
Lots of little balls stuck around the top. Uga has plenty.
-
Open the face
Press two dots for the eyes and a curve for the mouth.
Uga’s tip
If it breaks, it is not ruined. Clay always lets you start again.
