Uga in your day · Frustration

When something will not work

A tower falls, a piece will not fit or a drawing looks different from what they hoped. You can stay beside them before looking for a solution.

1 · Watch together

Uga and The Tower

Uga carefully builds an enormous stone tower. When it crashes, his frustration erupts just like Burbu the volcano. Lulu does not rebuild it for him. He stays nearby and helps Uga slow down, breathe and look at the challenge with fresh eyes.

What does Lulu do when the tower falls?

2 · Words to offer

You wanted it to work, and it did not. I am here. Shall we pause or try together?

Keep your words simple and give them time. You can offer to breathe together without asking them to copy you. If they do not want to, staying nearby is enough.

3 · Away from the screen

A tower our own way

5–10 minutes · Large blocks or paper cups · With an adult

  1. Put a few pieces within reach and let your child choose how to begin.
  2. If the tower falls, pause. Ask whether they want help, a different base or to stop for today.
  3. If they want to continue, try another way together. Notice their choice: “You tried a wider base.”

There is no need to answer: watch, point or simply sit together. Choose a quiet moment; the video can wait.
